Presentation Description

The 2014 passage of the IMPACT Act has paved the way for bundled and site-neutral payment policies for post-acute care, prompting many providers to enter voluntary bundled payment demonstrations as either a learning experience or a shared savings opportunity.

Accordingly, this presentation provides a framework for post-acute providers to position their organization as the “quarterback” of the post-acute episode. Specifically, the presentation discusses the five capabilities providers must have to both replicate the capabilities of third-party managers and to further differentiate themselves as the episode manager of choice. With each capability grounded in several case study examples, the presentation furthermore provides tangible lessons for providers to be success under bundled payment models.
